CCD research divers set up a temporary underwater naturalist trail once a month within the Casino Point Marine Park (Avalon). This is done to help educate the diving community to the dynamics of the unique kelp forest ecosystem.

CCD educates recreational divers on the marine environment at Catalina by hosting the SCUBA Trail at the Casino Point Dive Park in Avalon. On selected weekends, CCD divers set out markers to help recreational divers find and identify the common species found in Catalina's marine environment. CCD members have a display table at the Park and are available to answer questions about Catalina's marine environment. Check the calendar for announcements of our next scheduled dates.
